Web-log confusion

This morning, I sat in on a meeting with one of our IT suppliers. Much the same as usual, , grumble, grumble, grumble.

But I woke up when he began explaining: that one of the major problems they have with the server is when someone (at their end) tries to run some reports on the web-logs. This causes the system to slow down/crash. They have now resolved this problem and it shouldn’t happen again.

For someone wanting to get into IT/website management/web design, you would have thought that I would have noticed the difference between web-logs and weBlogs. Hmmm. I look forward to our next meeting when I will be much more awake and prepared…

What is the world coming to?

Jailing him, Judge Alistair McCallum told Hoyle “Never before in my time at the bar or on the bench have I ever had to deal with somebody who voluntarily allowed himself to be buggered by a dog on the public highway. Frankly it is beyond most of our comprehension. It is an absolutely disgusting thing for members of the public to have to witness.”

Sometimes my other fellow humans truely discust me!
