What really concerns me…

democracy

Last night I watched a little TV (I think it was called Tank Man) on the Chinese governments hush-hush attitude towards media, and the imprisonment of those that break these rules.

I have a beast of an assignment due by Thursday, and I’ve barely started it… But despite all this I’ve been surfing the interweb this morning, nothing specific just wasting time. But I found this and this and it really makes me want to take some action. Grrrrrr.

Maybe I’ll just put a little green box in the top right hand side of this page and have a look at this.

New Flickr Interface

theolster | Technology, Web Design, Geek | Tuesday, May 16th, 2006

Wow… Flickr just updated their organiser interface… Whilst I was using it! Very confusing…

At a first glance it looks much better than it was, and will probably delay my attempt to mess around with some of the API stuff indefinately. Phew…

UPDATE… It seems that they did a lot more than update the organiser, this is the ‘Gamma’ release. Also, it’s nice to know that I have blogged about something before boingboing get their hands on it!

Sci-fi and Reality… the thin line.

I, like so many others, have dreamed about the possibilities of science fiction ideas becoming a reality. Although it seems highly unlikely that this idea would become a serious practical technology any time soon (or even in my lifetime) I love this announcement for the cool geek factor involved!
