So I have a new project for this blog called ‘A Photo A Day’, says it all really. The main aim though is to improve my photo techniques and work out what the hell has gone wrong with my Panasonic FZ-10. Its nearly three years old now and I seem to be having huge problems in low light, with fuzz and blur (click on the image above to see a larger version, and how bad it is). It has a decent Leica lens and 4 mega pixels, so it should be performing better than it is. The idea is that if I actually start using it everyday I should be come a better photographer and overcome these issues.
My main influences for this idea are from Heather, Jon and Matthew.
Its not often that I get a really early night, followed by a very early morning, and if all goes to plan I’ll love it. I’m only taking this opportunity because I am so behind on my work right now, and I always work better in the morning. You never know if I actually get up at 5:45 I might actually go for one of those daily new-year’s resolution mile runs which I haven’t been on yet.
My wife has gone out for the evening so with a good book and a cup of tea… Goodnight…
Well here we are 2007. Right thats it I’ve said enough about the new year, since every other blog seems to have resolution lists, predictions, etc, I won’t start repeating myself.
What I needed to say was Fopp Rocks. Oxford finally (well they arrived several months ago now but I’ve only just got around to mentioning it) has a Fopp store. Gone are the days of having to buy my CDs from HMV or Virgin, and today was my first proper outing - 4CDs for £18! Assuming that it is cheaper to buy CDs from iTunes rather than HMV/Virgin lets compare the prices:
Ed Harcourt - Here Be Monsters: £5 Vs $9.99
Faith No More - The Platinum Collection: £3 Vs not in iTunes (lets assume $9.99 as all the other FNM ones are)
Cream - Disraeli Gears: £5 Vs $9.99
The Beta Band - The Three EPs: £5 Vs $9.99
Total for Fopp: £18
Total for iTunes: $39.96 x 0.5128 = £20.49
Fopp ROCKS!
